Introduction


Radix Aconiti  is a rare and valuable medicinal herb belonging to the Ranunculaceae family, widely used in traditional medicine. The tuberous roots of the aconite plant, including the main root  and the daughter root , are the primary parts utilized, typically processed to reduce toxicity. In traditional medicine, aconite has a hot nature, a spicy and bitter taste, and enters all 12 meridians (primarily heart, liver, kidney, and spleen), with functions to dispel wind, remove dampness, warm channels, relieve pain, and restore yang to reverse collapse. However, aconite is classified as a Table A toxic drug due to its highly toxic alkaloid compounds, particularly aconitine, which can be fatal if used improperly.
