Introduction
Radix Dipsaci belonging to the Dipsacaceae family, is a perennial herbaceous plant widely cultivated in high mountainous regions of Vietnam (such as Lào Cai, Hà Giang, Cao Bằng) and China. The root is the primary medicinal part, typically harvested in autumn or winter, cleaned, dried, or processed into powder, paste, or extract. In traditional medicine, Dipsacus root has a bitter, spicy taste, slightly warm nature, and enters the liver and kidney meridians, with functions to tonify the liver and kidneys, strengthen tendons and bones, invigorate blood, and support tissue regeneration. It is considered a key herb in therapies for treating bone and joint pain and physical weakness.
