Introduction
Flos Lonicerae a woody climbing vine of the Caprifoliaceae family, is widely distributed in Vietnam, particularly in mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Ha Giang, and Son La, as well as lowland areas like Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. The flowers, leaves, and stems are utilized as medicinal materials in Vietnamese traditional medicine, valued for their cold nature, sweet taste, and effects in clearing heat, detoxifying, and reducing inflammation. Honeysuckle is a key herb for treating influenza, sore throat, and dermatological conditions.
Additional Information: Lonicera japonica thrives in moist soil, moderate sunlight, and temperatures of 15–30°C. Flowers are harvested in summer (May–July) when buds transition from white to yellow to optimize bioactive content.
